In Australia and New Zealand, Alstom employs around 1000 people and has workshops or factories in every state. Alstom’s Australian operations are organised into three main operational areas: 

Power
Alstom’s power generation activities in Australia offer complete solutions for power generation systems, plant, equipment and services. Alstom offers the complete EPC capability including the design, supply, erection and commissioning of turnkey power plants for all fuel types. Does Alstom provides services to the Installed base?
Our field services are supported by our Maitland (NSW), Moonah (TAS) and Morwell (VIC) workshop facilities which offer extensive engineering and fabrication services and capabilities to a variety of industries throughout Australia.

What is Alstom’s strategy and key technologies to reduce C02?

Has Alstom actually achieved anything in the field of CCS?
Yes – Alstom is leading the race to curtail emissions of CO2 and has six pilot projects operating or being built and four additional projects scheduled. We have a number of partnerships worldwide across the value chain.

Transport
As the world’s leading rail transport supplier, Alstom offers a complete range of innovative products and services in over 60 countries. We are well known for the TGV, the tilting Pendolino trains, our modern Citadis tramcars and hi-tech Metropolis metro trains, all which enjoy an excellent reputation in our industry.
Australia continues to represent a strong market for Alstom’s Transport Sector, and through continued direct support and supply to the rail market. 

Transmission: Alstom Grid
Alstom Grid is an active player around the globe. It designs, manufactures and supplies a complete range of equipment, systems and services for all stages in the transfer of electricity, from the generator to the end-user. Via its forebears, Alstom Grid has had a continuous presence in Australia for almost a century, including manufacture of transformer and switchgear in Brisbane for the past 60 years.
