Wuhan Boiler Company (WBC), Alstom’s largest utility boiler manufacturing site in the world, has signed a contract with Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group Co. Ltd., to supply four 350 MW sub-critical pulverised coal-fired boilers, for a cogeneration power plant located in Shandong Province, China.

On 19 March, Alstom inaugurated the largest offshore wind turbine in the world, at Carnet in the Loire-Atlantique. The ceremony was attended by Eric Besson, Minister of Industry, Energy and the Digital Economy, and Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO of Alstom.

Alstom, a global leader in power generation equipment and services, has signed a close to €50 million contract with China State Development and Investment Corporation (SDIC), to supply 2x660MW Steam Turbine Generator units for a fossil fuel power plant in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The power plant, located in Hami, will be the first 600MW size power plant in Xinjiang, China with supercritical steam conditions designed for leading efficiency and lower carbon emissions.

The 2nd Alstom Power China Forum – Clean Power Day– was successfully convened in Beijing on June 23. More than 200 participants joined the plenary session, including representatives of key Chinese customers, such as China Power Investment, China Power, China Huaneng Group and Datang International Power Generation as well as power experts from all major design institutes, and government officials like Mr Li Quanlin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress.
