Sharing and connecting with communities

Alstom believes building communities improves collaboration across the Group and creates the best learning environment. Through communities, our people can build stronger relationships across the company, sharing knowledge, ideas and best practices.

Part of Alstom University, our Community Networks department encourages and sustains collaboration across organisational and geographical boundaries.

It provides a model and reference point for the organisation’s collaborative culture and helps our employees to connect by integrating collaborative technologies into working practices.

Collaborative initiatives are gaining momentum across Alstom and contribute to the organisation in many ways: innovation, easier repurposing of knowledge, quicker responses to business needs, better integration of newcomers by access to mentoring and support, new ideas for products and services, etc.

Technologies such as blogs, wikis and forums are also being used by Alstom employees to create communities.
