In China, Alstom Foundation has financed three projects:

- 2008: “Biodiversity Conservation in Northwest Yunnan - Meili Mountain and Laojun Mountain” Project: Launched with The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Alstom foundation provided financial support totaling €1,000,000 over five years, aiming to promote sustainable development of China’s first national park in the Meili mountains and initiate a biodiversity preservation mode to foster the co-development of the local environment, ecosystems, communities and local cultures.
- 2011: “Alstom Forest” Project: With collaboration with the Beijing Afforestation Foundation, Alstom financed EUR 20,000 for the planting of totally 2011 trees in Beijing.
