Alstom has signed a contract with Eesti Energia to build a coal-fired steam power plant at Narva, Estonia.

Alstom has signed an EPC contract with Narva Elektrijaamad AS to supply two 300 MW units for a steam power plant based on CFB boiler technology and fuelled with local oil shale. The new power plant will be constructed at Narva. The first unit has just been booked and the second will be within the next 18 months. Under the terms of the contract, Alstom will design, manufacture, supply, install, test and commission the units. This includes the supply of final fuel handling, CFB boiler, steam turbine, generator, flue gas treatment, automation & control systems and electrical systems for each unit.
