Waste management
Alstom produces a considerable amount of waste: chemicals, oil, metal, paints, paper, computers and batteries. To preserve the environment we must comply with the legislation and follow the company targets to identify, reduce and segarete the waste.
Hazardous substances and volatile organic compounds (VOC)
The chemicals we use are mainly used in maintenance and repair activities. We strive to
replace those hazardous chemicals with less harmfull ones (to human health and environment).
Regular maintenance and repair of machines
Regular maintenance of all machines keeps them safe to employees and to environment. With regular maintenance we can prevent oil spillages to environment, e.g. hydraulic oil
spillages.
