Plant Services (Balance-of-Plant) include the service and maintenance of industrial and power plant auxiliary equipment and systems. Our clients represent both the conventional power plants, nuclear power plants, pulp and paper industry, chemical industry and metal and steel industry.
We have local workforce
ALSTOM Finland Oy strengthened the local maintenance expertise through an acquisition in Finland in 2007. This acquisition now enables us to manage bigger project deliveries, including the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning. Our site staff consists of skilled workforce, fitters and welders.
Our field personnel has long experience for example in mill maintenance, valve grinding work, welding of pressure parts of the A1 module in accordance with conveyor maintenance and air pollution control equipment servicing. The welding works are coordinated by an experienced Welding Engineer (IWE).
Welding capabilities
Our welding professionals are qualified according to PED´s requirements. We maintain and develop this expertise with regular testing and training. In welding quality control standard, we operate in accordance with EN ISO 3834-2. We use a method of testing (WPQR) based on the welding procedures (WPS),
different materials, combinations thereof, and various material thickness.
