Panama: Mamoni Wildlife Conservation Centre

This area is considered one of the 25 most important eco regions in the world in urgent need of protection due to the rise of illegal logging, hunting, private road development and other environmentally destructive practices over the last 10 years.

This project will:

  • create a training centre for 700 local people providing management, training and resource development specifically in wildlife conservation to 50 people;
  • reconnecte 2,000 children with nature conservation through workshops;
  • hydro-electric energy plant renovation for the centre.
