Alstom Germany – its representative office in Berlin, at the interface to politics
The representative office of Alstom Deutschland in Berlin enables a close government relationship for the central leadership responsibilities of corporate management. The place at which the prime public affairs responsibility for Alstom is focused is its representative office in Berlin.
This office is the “embassy” of the Alstom German Group in the new capital of Germany, and is located directly in downtown Berlin. Its mission is: to establish and develop a contact network to the executive levels of public administration in German federal and state governments. In addition, the Alstom representative office provides a contact itself to the representatives of German state governments on the federal level, and for diplomatic representatives in Berlin and international organizations. The Alstom office furthermore serves to cultivate connections to national organizations representing German economic interests, to representations of other companies, to media centers, and to the headquarters of German political parties.

Furthermore the product line Power Electronics activities is planning and developing its systems here. The core business are high current rectifier systems designed to supply direct current to electrolysis plants for the production of aluminium, chlorine, copper, zinc as well as to DC arc furnaces of steel making plants. Additionally we offer turnkey system for reactive power compensation in industry and utility applications up to 400 kV.
