In Ludwigslust Alstom Grid develops, manufactures and sells high-voltage special transformers (transducers) for high-precision reduction of very high currents up to 4000 amps and voltages to 800,000 volts to the highest measurable value of e.g. 1 A and 100 V.
The instrument transformers for high voltage outdoor plants are being built in oil-paper insulation technology or SF6 gas insulation technology. In addition, SF6 insulated current and voltage transformers for gas insulated switchgear (GIS) are produced. The technology and manufacturing processes are world leading level.
