Alstom Grid is specialising in engineering and project management for large turnkey transmission projects, and special power supplies for electro-intensive industries.
Alstom Grid has built over 3,000 turnkey air-insulated or gas-insulated substations worldwide, up to 765kV. In addition to our engineering and project management capabilities, we manufacture all key elements of the substation in our globally based manufacturing facilities.
Alstom Grid is a technology leader in Germany, with the first and only MSCDN (mechanically switched capacitor with damping network) plant in Germany in operation. At the same time, Alstom Grid delivered electro-technics for the first offshore substation in Germany (alpha ventus) following turnkey orders for offshore-substations for the wind farms Borkum West II, Baltic 2 and Global Tech 1.
