The Alstom Test Laboratory in Stuttgart – equipped with model pulverizing mills from the complete Alstom line of equipment – conducts pulverization tests on a great number and variety and of solid-fuel types and fuel qualities. Test results make it possible to design the dimensions of such pulverizing plants, in accordance with fuel qualities and requirements for their use. The Alstom Test Laboratory also constructs models of existing pulverizing plants, in order to optimize existing processes, or to adapt them to new fuels.
