Energy Treasure Hunt
An Alstom Grid initiative designed to identify, quantify and put an end to energy waste while providing concrete opportunities for economies. The Energy Treasure Hunt (ETH) raises awareness of the energy problem at every company level. ETH demonstrates how accessible real economies can be.
E.T.H.is an approach based on Lean and Kaizen principles which delivers reduced energy consumptions and improved energy efficiency.
Evaluate and reduce our carbon footprint
Alstom Grid has initiated a carbon footprint programme to measure and reduce the organisation’s carbon footprint. Since 2009, carbon assessments have been completed at sites including offices at La Défense, Lattes, Aix-les-Bains, Petit-Quevilly and 19 SAS Product Line sites.
To correctly assess total carbon emissions, a wide perimeter of actions was taken into account to include indirect corporate emissions (business travel, employee commuting, asset depreciation), as well as upstream and downstream emissions (transportation and processing of purchased materials, distribution of products).
