In 2008, the Sustainable Development (SD) Focus project was launched with the objective to support units, sites and functions in defining their SD ambitions.Ideas can then be translated into concrete actions covering the three SD pillars: economical performance, respect for the environment and social responsibility.
Today, nine SD Focus projects have been launched in France, Switzerland, China, India and England. More than 500 employees have been trained in how to make balanced decisions involving sustainable development. These decisions and action plans have also helped sites to improve their relationships with local communities.
