Alstom Grid tutored e-learning offers you the best of two training worlds: support from an experienced tutor and on-line access to e-learning modules that optimises time, costs and logistics. Our tutors provide immediate feedback, answering your questions and guiding you through the programme for guaranteed knowledge transfer. We offer different levels of tutoring to provide you with the support and training that suit you best.
Modular training Expert knowledge. Practical experience Our core curriculum includes over 200 training modules with an emphasis on practice. The benefits of training on real equipment or software are instantaneous. In small groups, trainees learn both theory and practice, the “why” and the “how-to”. Our trainers share their know-how and field experience through demonstrations on dedicated equipment located in our Technical Institutes, 3D modelling and “sandbox” for software applications.
Courses include training documentations and the possibility of preparation or follow up with e-learning modules. Courses can be carried out in our Alstom Grid Technical Institutes (inter or intra) or on site on the following topics:
For upgrades, add-on or new technology software, we have the training tools you need both in-house and on-line including: sandbox demo platforms, virtual classrooms, on-line seminars and in-lab experience. Our training laboratories are equipped with the latest digital screens, telecom and remote terminal unit (RTU) equipment.
Competence development training Customer-specific. Excellence through certification on your equipment. Our intensive, customer-specific Competence Training programme complies with the highest standards of operation excellence and safety. It is the ideal solution for companies where there has been growth or restructuring and a new group of employees must acquire technical skills in a short period of time, or for electricity intensive industries, where energy management is not the core business.
The Alstom Grid Competence Management programme is tailored to your specific training needs. It is an extremely in-depth programme, giving you the support you need to maintain your installation in optimum operating condition. And since it is designed to train people to your required skill level, it also serves to boost your employees’ career development programmes, leading them to become certified technical leaders.
1- It starts with a thorough joint assessment of existing skills,
2- The result of the assessment and the objectives set up are used to determine the training modules needed, and to design them.
3- Once the content and schedule are agreed, the training starts at one of the Alstom Grid Technical Institute sites. The training comprises intermediate assessments to evaluate the participants’ progress and achievement. The last part of the training takes place at the customer’s site giving the opportunity to learn and practice on customer’s own equipment in their usual working environment.
4- The Competence Development training concludes with a final assessment for certification.
5- After successful completion of the programme, a Competence Certificate is handed over to the participants that guarantees the training quality and certifies the individual has indeed acquired the skills required. The certification can be prolonged via periodic refresher trainings.
