Partnerships

Alstom Grid is developing an ecosystem of partners to enhance synergies across several sectors - technology suppliers, universities and energy systems experts.

Through partnerships with these key players in complementary smart grid industries, Alstom Grid does not only push forward  innovations in grid applications, but also opens up new channels to adjacent markets and opportunities.

IBM

IBM and Alstom collaborate to offer an integrated business proposal for the combined use of grid control software and IBM software applications for the management of grid assets. Through this alliance, Alstom stands out from the competition with truly innovative solutions. The first step is an integrated, joint Enterprise Asset Management platform for transmission or distribution networks (EMS / DMS), that has already been demonstrated to a number of utilities.

Energinet.dk

Alstom Grid and Energinet.dk formed a strategic partnership agreement to tackle the integration of renewable energies into the grid, the improvement of electrical grid asset performance and the development of advanced tools for network operations. As Denmark has more than 5,000 wind farms connected to its grid representing more than 30% of the electricity produced in the country, Energinet.dk faces unique challenges in terms of the effective use of intermittent renewable energy sources.
