Joining Alstom after 15 years in the public sector
After graduating from the Ecole Polytechnique and Ponts et Chaussées, I spent four years with the DDE (Division Départementale de l’Equipement) in the Indre and Loire department of France before joining the Port Autonome of Strasbourg as Sales Director. My career then took me overseas: for five years, I was transport advisor to the French Ambassador in Beijing, China. And after fifteen years in the public sector, I wanted to diversify my experience by working for a private company – which brought me to Alstom Transport.
A diversified and international career at Alstom
In 2005, Alstom Transport offered me the opportunity to be responsible for its strategy for the Asia-Pacific region which was a fascinating mission: identifying development opportunities, selecting and following through international invitations to tender, creating and managing joint ventures with local companies….
After six months in the Chinese capital, I returned to Paris where I gradually became involved in Alstom Transport’s external growth operations. Consequently, I was able to participate in the partnership project with the Russian manufacturer, TMH. Since October 2008, I have been working exclusively on Alstom Transport’s external acquisitions.
Working at Alstom - what do I think?
I’m delighted with my choice to work at Alstom – the company enables me to live some very rich and varied professional experiences.
