Utran project
One of India’s most efficient CCPP project - Utran, will generate 370 MW that will help region reduce its electricity deficit. Power plant built around Alstom’s world-leading GT26 gas turbine technology, which, in combined cycle, is the most efficient gas turbine technology on the market with the highest overall plant efficiency in its class. Utran marks a countrywide milestone by giving the highest efficiencies in thermal power generation in India whilst maintaining low emission levels.
Gautami Project
Alstom in India won a contract for Gautami CCPP 469 MW, located in Andhra Pradesh. The Performance & Guarantee tests were successfully completed leading to provisional acceptance (PAC) of the plant in June 09, 2010.
Ongoing Projects
Subansiri – largest hydro project of India
Alstom is providing power generation equipment for one of the biggest Hydro Power project, 2000 MW Subansiri Hydro Power Project located in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, India. For the customer National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), Alstom is responsible for the supply of a total of 8 x 250 MW vertical shaft Francis turbines, the Digital Governing System, Butterfly valves, in addition to 16 kV Vertical Generators, Static Excitation system, GIS and all Balance of Plants components. The largest ever Francis Runner in India has been manufactured by Alstom Vadodara unit for Subansiri Project.
Lower Jurala Hydro Electric Project
Alstom in India has won a contract worth Rs 460 crores (Euro 78 million) with Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO). The contract was awarded for 240 MW Lower Jurala. The Project is on Krishna River, District Mahboobnagar, Andhra Pradesh. The contract includes turnkey EM package of 6 nos. Bulb Units of 40 MW size along with associated BOP. The contract includes the design, manufacturing, supply, instalation, testing and commissioning of 6 x 40 MW capacity bulb turbine generator units, along with all associated auxiliary and ancillary equipment. The order will be indigenously executed by Alstom’s hydro facility in Vadodara.
Uri II Hydro Electric Project
National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) awarded the Uri II contract to consortium of Alstom Hydro France & Alstom in India, India in January 2007 after Subansiri Hydro Electric Project. The Electro-Mechanical Package for 240 MW Uri-II Hydro Electric Project is on Jhelum River, District Baramula, Jammu & Kashmir. The contract includes turnkey Electro-Mechanical package of 4 x 60 MW Francis Units size along with associated Balance of Plants.
Chamera III Hydro Electric Project
Alstom Hydro France & Alstom in India was awarded the Chamera III Hydro Electric Project contract by NHPC (National Hydro Power Corporation) in March. The Electro-Mechanical Package for 231 MW is situated on Ravi River, District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. The contract includes turnkey Electro-Mechanical package of 3 x 77 MW Francis Units size along with associated Balance of Plants with a schedule of 48 months.
