Alstom ordinary shares have been listed on the Paris Stock Exchange since June 22, 1998.
Alstom is part of the CAC 40 index (composed of the 40 most important securities listed on Euronext Paris and the SBF 120 index (an index compiled by Société des Bourses Françaises made up of the ‘120 major, continuously quoted securities that are the most actively traded and liquid’). Alstom is also part of the Euronext 100 index (index made up of the 100 major, continuously quoted securities that are the most actively traded and liquid on the Euronext Exchange).
As of December 2009, Alstom has been a constituent of the ECPI Ethical Index EMU, designed to represent the 150 top capitalized companies in the EMU market that are eligible investments according to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria of the ECPI.
The ECPI is dedicated to ESG research and index development.
Concerning unsponsored ADRs
The Company has chosen not to create or otherwise sponsor an American Depositary Receipt (ADR) facility in respect of its shares. Any ADR facility currently in existence is "unsponsored" and has no ties whatsoever to the Company.
This means that the Company cannot be relied upon to ensure the proper operation of such facility or to protect the rights of ADR holders, and the Company expressly disclaims any liability or submission to jurisdiction to any courts in the United States in respect of such facility. Persons choosing to deposit ALSTOM shares into such a facility or to acquire ADRs issued from such a facility do so at their own risk and on the basis of their own analysis of such facility.
