Alstom’s Citadis tramway begins commercial service in Algiers

Algeria’s Transport Minister Amar Tou, and the President of the Algiers Metro Authority (EMA), Aomar Hadbi, ushered in the start of commercial tramway service in Algiers, the first Algerian city to possess a modern tram network.

At the 59th UITP World Congress and Exhibition in Dubai, RATP CEO, Pierre Mongin, and Alstom Transport President, Philippe Mellier, announced the creation of Metrolab, a research laboratory dedicated to developing the automatic metro of the future.

Alstom to provide Lyon with 10 high-capacity Citadis tramways

SYTRAL (Syndicat Mixte des Transports pour le Rhône et l’Agglomération Lyonnaise) - Lyons’ transport authority - has selected Alstom to supply 10 high-capacity Citadis tramways, which can accommodate up to 400 passengers. The new trams will operate on the T3 line, which links Part-Dieu to Meyzieu.

Alstom to supply 8 additional Citadis Dualis trainsets to the Pays de la Loire region in France

Following two initial orders for 15 Citadis Dualis trainsets in 2007 and 2009, the Pays de la Loire region (France) has recently demonstrated its continued confidence in Alstom Transport with an option for 8 additional trainsets worth €27 million.
