In Spain, Alstom is involved in different research projects in the field of renewables.
Research and development of deepwater offshore wind turbines
- Development of technologies and know-how required to install and operate wind farms in deep water sites
- Programme: INNPACTO 2010
- Funding: Project co-funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
- Budget: 3.910.275,80 €
- Consortium: 2 Private Companies and 4 Research Centers
It is also the leader of a project related to novel solar technologies:- Design and industrialization of silicon thin film PV modules, MICROSIL08, PSE-120000-2007-007 / PSE-120000-2008-1.
Both projects involve the most prestigious institutes and universities whithin those fields in Spain and are supported by the Spanish Government and the European Comission.
