Alstom Power, a global leader in the supply of equipment and services for power generation, has signed a long-term service agreement with Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) for the four-year maintenance of Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland. The multi-year service agreement is an extension of earlier agreements successfully in place since 2000.

Under this contract, Alstom Power will year-by-year carry out outage and service work on turbines and generators at Olkiluoto 1 and Olkiluoto 2, including services and maintenance during refueling outages and service outages plus consulting, project management and continuous on-site support.

The agreement also defines a number of additional service packages which will be executed at fixed conditions as options but are not covered in the base contract value. The work will be carried out by ALSTOM Power Sweden AB in close collaboration with ALSTOM Finland Oy.

I am proud to declare that Alstom has been selected to continue to service the Olkiluoto power plant in Finland. This success has been enabled thanks to Alstom and TVOs long-term relationship and dedication to maintaining Finlands power plants and upholding standards of safety and energy availability, says Kari Sinivuori, MD of ALSTOM Finland Oy.
