17/01/2011

A new face is joining Alstom’s North American leadership team as the company welcomes Guillaume Mehlman to the position of Managing Director for Alstom Transport in the region.

Guillaume comes to his new role with more than 20 years of experience in the rail transportation and nuclear power industries. Most recently, he worked for five years as head of Alstom Transport’s global truck business. For two of those years he also managed the company’s manufacturing center in Le Creusot, France.

Asked about his new role, Mehlman said, “Alstom Transport has a long history of innovation in North America, from supporting the first high-speed train in the United States to services and expertise that keep many U.S. and Canadian subways running smoothly. I look forward to working with our strong, dedicated team of employees to advance that legacy and help the North American market benefit from Alstom’s latest industry- leading innovations.”
