In mid-March, a unique engineering training facility at Rugby Colleges new state of the art campus was launched to industry professionals.

The Power Academy opened its doors in September last year, funded by Advantage West Midlands, and aims at training future generations of engineers in power generation manufacture.

More than 400 delegates from power manufacturing organisations and educational institutions, as well as Rugbys MP Mark Pawsey, attended the Powering the Future conference on 18th March to learn how and why the industry should invest in the core skills needed to meet the worlds power needs.

Alstom Powers Andrew Collinson, UK Country Sales Director, delivered a presentation to the audience on Alstom's investment in technical training facilities and employee development and also how Alstom plans to maintain the Company's strong relationship with Rugby College.
