Alstom to repair Electrostatic Precipitator at Yara Siilinjärvi

Yara Suomi Oy
and Alstom Power have concluded a contract on maintenance of the electrostatic
precipitator of the pyrite roaster in the Siilinjärvi mill. The maintenance
work will be carried out in October 2011. The project includes removal of the
precipitator inner parts plus delivery and erection of the new parts.

(previously Kemira GrowHow) is a daughter company of Yara International ASA.
The company offers fertilizers, nitrogen chemicals and technical nitrates for
the industry plus products for environmental protection. The Siilinjärvi site
in Finland
produces mainly fertilizers and phosphoric acid, but also other industrial
chemicals. In 1999
and 2001 Alstom Power made a modernisation of 2 pyrite roaster electrostatic
precipitators at Yara’s Siilinjärvi site.

equipment, flue gas dampers, dust-conveying systems and fans in various
processes. We have executed several Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP)
modernisation projects in different industrial processes from ESP internal
rebuilds to challenging ESP extensions.
