Looking at the importance of nuclear energy to effectively bridge the energy gap for India, Alstom is all set to participate in the 3rd edition of India Nuclear Energy Summit 2011, to be held from 29 Sep. - 1 Oct. 2011 at Mumbai.

Based on the theme The way ahead: Post Fukushima, the Summit
features the most prominent industry leaders and government officials
from across the globe providing informative and inspiring discussions
pertaining to India's current needs and its ambitious nuclear future.

At the Indian Nuclear Energy 2011, Alstom will present technical papers,
attend sessions and discuss key issues surrounding nuclear energy in
India. Patrick Ledermann, Senior Vice President of Alstoms nuclear business will represent Alstom at the interactive roundtable on Relevance of Nuclear Energy.

Bertrand Constensoux, Regional Vice President for Alstoms nuclear business in India & Russia will present the technical paper: 'Efficient half-speed turbine technology for the 1000 MW+ LWR programs in India'
at the conference. Alstom senior executives and experts will also be
close at hand to discuss latest nuclear technology advancements at the
Alstom booth (D2) at the exhibition.

These multiple areas of participation will provide Alstom the
opportunity to present its conventional island offering for nuclear
power conversion including ARABELLE steam turbines, the worlds most
powerful nuclear steam turbine, which are being installed in Flamanville
3 EPR project in France.

The event highlights Alstoms leadership in the nuclear energy sector
and reinforces the companys strong commitment towards contributing to
and helping develop the sector with Alstoms proven technology,
solutions and broad experience.
