Alstom reaches the podium in the intercompany running competition 2012 in Madrid and contributes to a social community initiative.

On 14^th October , the running competition La Carrera de las empresas took place in Madrid.

12 Alstom teams participated and 1 team won their race, and took their position on the podium.

Amongst almost 4000 runners, the Alstom Power team made up of Angel Antón, Isabel Ubide and Miguel Garrido, employees from Thermal Services and P.A.C ( Power Automation Control ), finished the race in less than 43 minutes, making them winners of their category: 10km race in a mixed team.

For the first time, 12 Alstom teams coming from different sectors, Transport, Power, Grid and Corporate, ran wearing one sole Alstom dorsal, promoting the ONE ALSTOM culture.

The Carrera de las Empresas competition has become an important meeting point for large and multinational companies and is attended by a large number of enterprises. This year in particular attracted more than 300 companies for this XIV edition.

In parallel, Alstom has collaborated with an initiative for a good cause, given that funds collected from the dorsals will be devoted to the integration of young people coming from difficult circumstances into the labour world.

This initiative seeks to promote good relationships between the participants from the different companies aws well as a healthy lifestyle. The runners represented their companies outside the normal context and they did it with excellent results.
