State Secretary in Lower Saxony Ministry for economy, labour and transportation, Oliver Liersch stated, that "railway traffic shall become more intelligent". Together with Dr. Martin Lange, Alstom Germany and Prof. Dr. Karsten Lemmer, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR - German center for aviation and space travel), Liersch signed a letter of intent regarding an information platform "innovative travel and maintenance information". This platform will provide commnication between vehicle, station and operator and lays the ground for intermodal mobility.
