On Friday 7 September in Manchester, Alstom as well as local politicians, businesses, trade bodies and councillors were brought together for the North West: 2012 & Beyond Growing our Economy, Boosting our Region conference.

This unique summit centred around identifying key ways to improve the North West region in line with the Coalition governments plan for a more rebalanced economy.
 
Alstoms own Tim Bentley, Main Line Managing Director, was part of the panel discussing the Northern hub. He discussed the High Speed rail plans for the North West, how the rail infrastructure could be improved and the importance of good transport links to the North West economy.

Alstom has a vested interest in the future of the North West and a strong presence in this region with key Transport and Power sites in Crewe, Chester, Knutsford, Liverpool, Manchester, Preston and Warrington.
