On 13 June 2013, Elbląg saw the celebration of presenting awards to Elbląg-based Alstom Turbine Factory and Alstom Foundry. The manufacturing sites were honoured by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for the best internal processes in the field of reporting and for reported data reliability.
PricewaterhouseCoopers decision to grant the award for the first time ever was made following the audit conducted by PwC in Alstom Group. The audit proved the highest level of data preparing quality and methodology of Elbląg-based businesses. The award was accepted by Director Wojciech Peret on behalf of the Turbine Factory and by Director Eugeniusz Szamp on behalf of the Foundry.
Alstom maintains Teranga reporting system which covers ratios in such fields as HR, environmental protection, and occupational health and safety. The system enables to analyse ratios on a global scale and to report them to Alstom shareholders. PwC audits Alstom sites worldwide periodically to verify reporting processes and procedures and the reliability of reported data.
