Alstom will participate in the second Move.App Expo Conference and Exhibition, dedicated to transport, mobility and logistics, to be held on 11-15 October at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan. On this occasion, Alstom will be presenting the Coradia Meridian regional train, as well as signalling and safety systems for metros in two roundtable discussions. The company will also showcase the use of virtual reality in train design from a Virtual Room.
Paolo Alberti, Director of Signalling Projects for Alstom Ferroviaria, will take part in a round table discussion entitled “Planning, designing, building and running metropolitan networks”in the afternoon of 13 October. Marco Barale, Customer Director of Alstom Ferroviaria, will speak during the session entitled “The rolling stock, infrastructures and operation of high-speed and regional railway networks” in the morning of October 14th.
The virtual room to be showcased during the event is a reproduction of the one in Savigliano where Alstom engineers use virtual reality to design trains and test the functioning of components, and proposes different interior configurations. Visitors of the expo will be able to enter the Coradia Meridian regional train virtually with the aid of special 3D glassess and discover its technical characteristics under the guidance of Alstom’s experts.
