Alstom was present at the Russia Power/HydroPower Russia conference and exhibition, held in Moscow on 4-6 March 2014.

Now in its 12th year, Russia Power (4-6 March, ExpoCentre, Moscow) brings together the power industrys most influential decision makers, representing a great opportunity for partners and suppliers to meet. Alstom again was present at the show, with an exhibition stand and several speakers presenting. The three-day event at Moscows ExpoCentre features a two-track conference programme and an active exhibition floor featuring leading organisations from the Russian and international power sectors.

The themes for the 2014 conference are:  

  • Modernisation
    Identifying solutions that will tackle the need for modernisation and the extension of generation  capacity
  • Efficiency
    Advocating ideas and opportunities that will enhance energy efficiency and accelerate decarbonisation of the power sector in Russia
  • Innovation
    Highlighting the latest products and solutions that enable a secure and efficient power infrastructure 

Russia Power is co-located with HydroVision Russia, the premier conference and tradeshow for hydro energy production, maintenance and technology. 

Alstom Power in Russia 
Alstoms significant presence in Russia extends across many areas of our business, including Power, Automation and Control (PAC), the supply of gas and steam power equipment, and Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) supporting our Clean Power, Clear Solutions vision.

  • Alstom was the first ever foreign EPC-contractor with full OEM capabilities in the Russian power sector to build a power plant (unit 8 in Moscows TPP-26)
  • Unit 8 in the Moscow TPP-26 plant, built by Alstom, is currently the most efficient combined cycle power plant in Russia 
  • Alstoms environmental control systems have the largest share of the Russian and CIS market

Alstom speakers and conference sessions
Alstom speakers presented papers on Gas turbines, Steam Turbines and Generators in sessions 5, 6 and 7 on Wednesday 5 March  and Boilers on Thursday 6 March. There will also be a cocktail reception at the Alstom stand on March 5.
