Mats Andersson has been appointed Managing Director of Alstom Power Sweden AB in Sweden as of March 1st. Headquartered in Norrköping Alstom Power is a business area within the Alstom Group, one of the world’s leading companies in transport infrastructure, power generation and transmission systems.
Mats Andersson will succeed Peter Jonsson in his new position where he will be responsible for the Swedish services business for power generation and industrial customers and the operational profit centre. He will be based at the office in Norrköping. He previously worked in Studsvik as Head of SegmentSweden
“Mats Andersson has extensive experience in the industry sector, as well as operational and strategic leadership, making him the strategic person for Alstom. Mats Andersson’ first role at Studsvik was Head of Operations making him responsible for operational work and processes, as well as the implementation of a new organisation. He was then appointed Head of Segment Sweden with budget responsibility for the Swedish corporate segment. From 2003 to 2008 Mats Andersson was Delivery Manager for Siemens Turbo Machinery AB and MD of Whirlpool in Sweden from 2008-2011. He has also been a board member of Industrikompetens i Östergötland, Studsvik (UK and Japan) and Sverigebolagen.
Mats Andersson has an Engineering degree from Luleå University and an Economics MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.
