Alstom Auxiliary Components, unit located in Vinhedo, state of São Paulo, closed an important contract for supply a Raymond® Roller Mill type for a calcium carbonate producing unit in Colombia.
The grinding system, one of the main equipment of the portfolio of the Auxiliary Components business area, will be responsible for the calcium carbonate size reduction from around 15 mm down to 20 microns on average. Carbonate is a raw material widely used in the plastic and paint pigmentation industry.
This new business consolidates the presence of Alstom Auxiliary Components in Colombia and in the calcium carbonate market. Alstom has an installed base of around 550 mills all over South America.
The Raymond® Roller Mill and the other mills sold by the unit are inserted in the Thermal Power sector, and also account for the milling of solid fuels for boilers and furnaces.
