Alstom in Spain has launched an innovative programme for graduates across the country, targeting their training and integration into the labour market. The initiative, called Alstom Talent Energy, combines post-graduate training and professional work placements in a single programme. The objective is to provide opportunities for recent graduates to continue their personal and professional development in a global company as Alstom, a world leader in the rail transport and energy sectors.

Monday 1 September was the opening day of the period for submitting applications to participate in this first edition of the programme, which will begin in November. The initiative, promoted by Alstom in Spain,  is being undertaken in collaboration with the Fundación Universidad Empresa (Universities and Businesses Foundation) and the University of Alcalá.

Alstom Talent Energy is offering 18 young graduates year-long paid internships and a place on the GAIA Master's Degree in Professional Development, a university-specific degree from the University of Alcalá that is taught online in English. It is aimed at graduates from Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Logistics, Telecommunications, Electronics and Industrial Organisation Engineering degrees, who are interested in infrastructure for power generation and transmission and for rail transport.

Successful candidates will start work in the company's offices joining Alstom Transport's teams of professionals to work on national and international rail projects.

Those interested in taking part in the programme should apply at www.fue.es/alstom by 10 October 2014.
