Alstom Grids Network Management Solutions (NMS) and Substation Automation Solutions (SAS) businesses showcase innovative energy software and smart grid solutions at DistribuTech 2015. Throughout the week, Alstom experts will be at booth #3423 performing interactive demonstrations, presenting case studies and sharing information on the latest technologies in the energy industry.  These innovative technologies include:

The Digital Substation - Alstom presents its end-to-end solution for Digital Substation, a smart digital technology that brings together the powerful potential of primary and secondary plant smart digital technologies, and is already performing in the field for our customers. This latest compact, universal solution extends substation automation monitoring and control applications, improves personnel safety, and reduces footprint. Alstoms Digital Substation enhances Smart Grid management and operation using intuitive dashboards for enhanced situational awareness. It ensures optimum real-time performance of the grid by monitoring availability, health and dynamic loading capability of the substation assets and connected circuits.  Alstom and RTE in France signed a digital substation demonstrator project to further develop and deploy the technology in a Smart Substation project, paving the way for commercial installations together in the coming years.

DAP IO for Substation Modernization- Alstom unveiled the DAP IO range, the latest substation automation input/output modules for substation modernization. DAP I/O leverages the latest technology in microprocessors, communications and applications, for substation automation applications. The DAP IO module can be deployed with Alstom's DAPserver either in a standalone RTU configuration or integrated with IEDs to form a complete substation automation system. It can also be used to replace legacy RTU I/O modules with minimal field wiring changes. DAP IO is the most advanced and cost effective solution for substation RTU and automation upgrades and retrofits.

Latest Integrated Distribution Management System (IDMS) - Alstom Grids introduces its recently deployed Outage Management System as part of the complete IDMS at Southern Companys Alabama Power featuring a single consolidated interface for Outage Management, SCADA and Distribution network activity. It uses all available data including AMI, trouble calls, etc., for enhanced outage management with hurricane-level performance and includes a full-function simulator for training and system validation.

Distribution Model Validation Services - Complementing its advanced Integrated Distribution Management System, Alstom Grids UISOL (Utility Integration Solutions) team has launched Model Validation Services to help distribution utilities develop, validate and keep their system models up-to-date.

Flexible Calculation Engine for Big Data Analytics - Alstom Grids e-terraanalytics solution is an advanced calculation engine originally developed for financial settlements at some of the worlds largest electricity market operators. This field-proven technology is now available for other large-scale, time-series oriented smart grid analytics challenges like generator energy accounting, asset health indexing, smart meter analytics, and even phasor data with 25-30 readings per second.

IDMS Test Drive- Alstom Grid announces the launch of its IDMS Test Drive  service to be available Spring 2015. This Try before you buy experience offers potential customers the ability to experience the Alstom IDMS via the cloud, eliminating need for installation. Users will be able to try out the IDMS Navigation, Advanced Grid Analytics and Simulation to better understand the benefits and usability of Alstoms advanced IDMS.
