10 February 2016 – Alstom has received the Top Employers Spain 2016 certification, which confirms that it is one of the country’s best companies to work for. Alstom was granted the certification after an in-depth research survey conducted by the Top Employers Institute, a company that has been globally certifying excellence in the working conditions created by employers since 1991.

The HR Best Practices Survey measures close to 600 practices, in order to evaluate the company’s employee conditions. This international independent audit covers nine different topics: Talent Strategy, Workforce Planning, On-boarding, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Career and Succession Management, Leadership Development and Culture.

The Top Employers Institute’s research assesses all critical areas of the Human Resources environment, certifying organisations that can demonstrate they are continuously optimising working conditions and leading the way in the development of their employees.

Top Employers Institute’s CEO in Spain Salvador Ibáñez stressed that “The Certification is only awarded to the best employers around the world: companies that demonstrate the highest standards of employee offerings”.

"Our human resources policy aims at attracting and retaining talent. Motivation of our teams is key to provide most innovative, reliable and efficient transport solutions to our clients. This award encourages us to continue improving”, underlines Jose Antonio Rodriguez, Alstom’s Spain and Portugal Human Resources Director.

In Spain, Alstom employs close to 2,000 people in 19 locations, making it the number two Spanish employer in the sector. The company has a train factory and develops R&D programmes, for trains, services, signalling and safety projects.
