Olivier Carnot is nominated Alstom Site Director for Reichshoffen

Olivier Carnot has been nominated Site Director of Reichshoffen, an internationally recognised centre of expertise for one-level regional trains. 

In his new role, Oliviers main responsibilities will be to ensure the proper execution of ongoing projects - Coradia Polyvalent for the French regions (216 trains, of which 135 have already been delivered), Intercities (34 trains) and Coradia Algeria (17 trains) as well as to sustain the workload of the Reichshoffen site by focusing on the competitiveness of the Coradia Polyvalent platform and its promotion in France and internationally.   

The Reichshoffen site currently employs over 900 people.  Apart from its expertise in the design and production of one-level regional trains, the site has two other centres of expertise:  «Bodyshell design & static security» and «Cabin design» which develop standard solutions for the groups entire equipment range. 

After training as an engineer, Olivier Carnot began his career with the RATP before joining the Alstom group in 2001.  Olivier Carnot held a variety of management positions in the fields of engineering and industrial activities in France and abroad, leading key projects such as the Melbourne tramway or the very high speed train for NTV (Italy). Since April 2014 he is both Director of Projects and Offers at the Reichshoffen site, and Regiolis Project Director (Coradia Polyvalent). 

«The role of site director is a continuation of the work I began here in 2014. I will do my utmost, with the teams of Reichshoffen, to ensure the workload of the site beyond 2018, notably by developing our Coradia Polyvalent platform in France and on the international market,» says Olivier Carnot.
