French Ambassador in Astana welcomes ex-Alstom employee in Bayterek as she completes bike trip from Europe to Astana


On 3 August Mr. Francis ETIENNE, French Ambassador in Kazakhstan, welcomed an ex-Alstom employee, Pauline de La Marnierre, in Bayterek  as she completed her adventurous journey from Europe to Astana, linking the capitals of EXPO and wrapping up Europe and Asia in one bike trip.

Alstom to extend the Constantine Tramway


Alstom, together with its three consortium partners , will extend the Constantine area Tramway by 10 kilometres. Alstom's share of the contract, awarded by EMA (Entreprise Metro d'Alger, Algeria's public transport operator), amounts to around €80 million. The completion of the extension is scheduled for 3 years from now.

Alstom signs key agreements to service Kaeng Khoi II power plant


With a combined value of over €160 million, the new extension agreements will see Alstom providing technical expertise to oversee the service and maintenance of the Kaeng Khoi II power plant. Under the scope of these two agreements, Alstom will also provide new parts, reconditioning services and field service for planned outages for the plant's existing gas turbines, steam turbines and generators until 2033.

Alstom Grid introduces Eco Label


Alstom Grid has created the Eco Label as part of its Eco Design approach within its Clean Grid Programme. Eco label identifies low-impact products that present either a truly significant improvement in environmental performance or a major innovative breakthrough in that domain.

Alstom to deliver 17 Coradia Polyvalent trains to SNTF


Alstom has signed a contract with Algeria's Société Nationale des Transports Ferroviaires (SNTF) to supply 17 Coradia Polyvalent inter-city trains. The contract is worth around 200 million euros. The first train will be delivered in January 2018.

Alstom will contribute to the remedies presented by GE to the European Commission


Since the Extraordinary General meeting held on 19 December 2014 which approved the acquisition by General Electric of Alstom's Energy businesses, both companies have been working with regulators around the world to secure competition and regulatory authorisations. Approvals have already been granted in 15 countries.

Alstom to supply hydropower turbine generators to Nigeria’s largest hydropower plant


Alstom was awarded a contract worth about €50 million1 by China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC) to provide electro-mechanical equipment and technical services for Zungeru Hydropower Project, Nigeria’s largest hydropower plant under construction.

Alstom and TenneT to reach another important milestone in the offshore DolWin3 project


Alstom and the German-Dutch transmission system operator TenneT have reached another key milestone in the North Sea offshore grid connection project - ‘DolWin3’. 

During the first quarter of 2015/16 - Alstom achieved a good level of orders and sales


Over the first quarter 2015/16 (from 1 April to 30 June 2015), Alstom booked €2.0 billion of orders, compared to €4.8 billion over the same period last year which included the €4 billion PRASA contract in South Africa. The Group's sales, at €1.6 billion, were up 3% organically over the first quarter 2015/16.

Alstom’s new computer-based interlocking system now operating in Italy


Alstom’s new remotely controllable computer-based interlocking system, which was produced for Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, has now been activated at Bari Parco Nord.
