Alstom Transport JV SATCO has delivered the first two driverless metros of 42 new metros ordered by Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) in February 2012 (the company’s largest contract in Asia Pacific). These are the first metros to be manufactured in Asia for LTA in Singapore - proximity being of key importance to Alstom – but also SATCO’s first involvement in the detailed and 3D design of the trains and production for export.

Megalim Solar Power Ltd (Megalim) - a special purpose company formed by Alstom (25.05%), BrightSource (25.05%), and NOY Infrastructure & Energy Investment Fund (49,9%) - obtained the financing of the European Investment Bank and the Bank Hapoalim for the construction and operation of the Ashalim Thermal Solar Power Station in Israel.
Alstom signed a contract worth around 120 million euros with Tractebel Energia Brasil, the largest private power generator in Brazil, to supply 36 units of ECO 122 wind turbines to Trairí II project, a wind farm located in Ceará State, Northeast of Brazil. The commissioning of Trairí project is scheduled for mid-2016 and will generate 97.2MW.
Alstom Grid has successfully energised the second High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) turnkey project in South Korea, following the first also delivered by Alstom in 1997. The newly energised project, awarded in 2009, establishes a 400 MW HVDC bi-directional transmission line between Jindo and the island of Jeju.

Alstom Transport will be at InnoTrans, the largest trade fair for the railway industry, to be held in Berlin, Germany from 23 to 26 September 2014. On this occasion, Alstom will introduce three major innovations: the very latest version of its Citadis tram, a predictive maintenance tool, and new versions of the Atlas range, its ERTMS solution.
