Alstom has been awarded two contracts, worth close to €5 million, for the supply of particulate removal systems for industrial processes in Turkey – one for a new fertilizer plant and the other at an existing copper smelter plant. Alstom’s tidal turbines have generated over 1GWh to the Scottish grid

As part of their testing programmes at the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney, Scotland, Alstom’s tidal devices have now generated over 1GWh of electricity, in actual operating conditions, to the Scottish grid.

On the 6th December, the 1MW tidal stream turbine installed and connected by Alstom at the EMEC (European Marine Energy Centre) off the Orkney Islands, as part of the ReDAPT Project delivered in partnership with the Energy Technologies Institute, has produced 1 GWh for the grid. 

Alstom's compliance program meeting the World Bank's guidelines. Alstom Hydro France released from debarment

Alstom welcomes the determination of the World Bank’s Integrity Compliance Office (“ICO”) that Alstom has implemented a corporate compliance program in line with the World Bank’s integrity compliance guidelines. The ICO also concluded that Alstom has satisfied all of the other conditions of its 21 February 2012 settlement with the World Bank. 

Alstom to build a new FGD plant for Veolia at Lodz Combined Heat and Power Plant.

Veolia and Alstom have signed a turnkey contract for the construction of a complete Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) plant, which will treat flue gases of 2 OP130 and 3 OP230 steam boilers of station numbers K1, K2, K3, K6, K9 at Veolia Energia Lodz SA combined heat & power plant (CHP 3). Completion of the desulphurisation plant is due early 2017.

Alstom signs contract to support the production of CO2-neutral electricity at Mälarenergi power plant in Sweden

Alstom has been awarded a contract to modernise an existing steam turbine at Mälarenergi power plant, in Vasteras, Sweden. Alstom will upgrade two of the steam turbine’s three rotors to increase their technical service life and adapt the turbine for the flow of steam from Mälarenergi’s biomass boiler, which runs on 100% biofuel.

Alstom to build a turnkey geothermal plant in Indonesia

Alstom has been awarded a contract worth over €61 million  by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy  to supply and install a 30 MW geothermal plant for the Karaha Power Plant in West Java, Indonesia.

Alstom joins with Atlantium to innovate in water treatment of hydropower equipment

Alstom has signed a bilateral agreement with the Israeli company Atlantium to expand the use of an innovative water treatment solution using ultraviolet rays (UV) in hydropower equipment.
