Alstom has signed a contract worth more than €16 million to modify the current signalling system at the stations of Ciudad Universitaria, Aristóbulo del Valle, Munro, Boulogne Sur Mer and Grand Bourg on the Belgrano Norte suburban line in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Siemens and Alstom have set the next key milestone for a champion in mobility. They have entered today into a Business Combination Agreement (BCA) regarding the proposed combination of Siemens’ mobility business, including its rail traction drive business, with Alstom.
Alstom has signed a purchase agreement for the acquisition of 21net, from the Innovacom fund and other investors. 21net is a provider of on-board Internet and passenger infotainment for the railway industry.

Over the third quarter 2017/18 (from 1 October to 31 December 2017), Alstom booked €1.7 billion of orders, compared to €1.0 billion over the same period last year. The Group’s sales increased to €1.8 billion, up 6% (8% organically) compared to €1.7 billion over the third quarter 2016/17.
