Coradia iLint hydrogen train receives approval for commercial operation in German railway networks


Alstom’s Coradia iLint, the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell passenger train, has been granted approval by the German Railway Office (EBA) for passenger service in Germany. On 11 July, Gerald Hörster, President of EBA, presented Alstom with the certificate of homologation at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in Berlin.

Alstom to supply integrated metro system for Taipei Metro Line 7


Alstom together with Taiwanese engineering and contracting services company CTCI has won a contract from Systemwide E&M Project Office Department of Rapid Transit System Taipei City Government (SEMPO) to supply an integrated metro system for Taipei Metro Line 7 phase one.

Alstom re-enters the German tram market with 38 Citadis for Frankfurt


Alstom has signed a contract worth around €100 million with Stadtwerke Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF), the transport operator in Frankfurt, Germany, for the supply of 38 Citadis trams with special adaptations for the German market. The contract includes an option for 15 additional vehicles.

Alstom presents the standard design of Aptis, its 100% electric mobility solution


Alstom presented the new design of Aptis, its 100% electric, tram-inspired mobility solution, at the European Mobility Exhibition that took place from June 12 – 14 in Paris. This new design is the one for the standard vehicle, for which the first deliveries will be possible from July 2019.

Alstom to supply national on-board train control system in Norway


Alstom has been awarded a contract by Bane NOR, the Norwegian railway authority, to equip the entire Norwegian railway fleet with ERTMS on-board train control solutions and to maintain the system for up to 25 years.

Alstom, first company to get the ISO 45001 Occupational health and safety management certification in Spain


Alstom is the first company in Spain to receive the ISO 45001: 2018 Occupational Health and Safety management certification. This certification, issued by the National Entity Accreditation (ENAC, has been granted after an intense audit carried out by Det Noske Veritas- DNV GL - Business Assurance Company.

Alstom 2017/18 results


Between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018, Alstom booked €7.2 billion of orders. Over the same period, sales reached €8.0 billion, corresponding to an outstanding growth of 9% (10% organically).
