The Aubagne Citadis Compact: a tram like no others!

The Aubagne Citadis Compact tram arrived in Berlin. The first compact tram new generation will be exhibited from 23 to 28 September at InnoTrans, the largest rail fair in the world. 

Pendolino High Speed trains certified in Poland for up to 250 km/h

On 11th September, the Polish Office of Rail Transport - responsible for supervision over the railway sector’s safety in Poland - has certified Pendolino train for up to 250 km/h. It has also confirmed that Pendolino train is compliant with Polish signaling system  and European ERTMS  level 1. 

Alstom to introduce three major innovations at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin

Alstom Transport will be at InnoTrans, the largest trade fair for the railway industry, to be held in Berlin, Germany from 23 to 26 September 2014. On this occasion, Alstom will introduce three major innovations: the very latest version of its Citadis tram, a predictive maintenance tool, and new versions of the Atlas range, its ERTMS solution.

Alstom and RZD International to modernize Serbia’s railway infrastructure

A consortium led by Alstom and RZD International, including their local partner, Institute Mikhajlo Pupin, have signed a contract to supply the signalling system on part of the Belgrade–Panchevo line in Serbia.

Alstom to support the metro development of Nanjing

Alstom and its local joint venture, Shanghai Alstom Transport Electrical Equipment Co. Ltd. (SATEE), have been awarded a €21 million contract by Nanjing Metro Group to provide traction systems and associated services to Line 12 of the Nanjing Metro in China. The Line 12 is expected to enter commercial operations by the end of 2015.

Alstom opens line 2 of the Citadis tramway in Le Mans

Alstom is opening the second tram line with greater Le Mans council in the presence of Jean-Claude Boulard, mayor of Le Mans and president of Le Mans Métropole, and François Papin, Site Managing Director of La Rochelle. The network is growing from 15.4 km to 19 km and the Citadis fleet is expanding from 26 to 34 trams. The eight new trams were ordered in 2012 to reinforce the service on line 1 and to operate on line 2.

Alstom and Transmashholding obtain certification for their electric locomotive 2ES5 in Russia

Alstom and TMH 2ES5 locomotive just obtained the certification, confirming its compliance with Russian mandatory safety norms. By 2020, 200 units will be delivered to the customer, Russian Railways (RZD). The first ones should enter commercial service during autumn and will start operating in Syberia along winter time.
