Alstom regional train for Trenitalia, Jazz has been delivered to the Abruzzo region


Alstom has delivered today the new train Jazz to the Abruzzo region, at the Pescara railway station.

Alstom Citadis tram enters into service on line T8 in the Ile-de-France region


On Tuesday 16 December at the Saint-Denis Porte de Paris station, the Alstom Citadis tram entered service on line 8 of the Ile-de-France tram network, linking Saint-Denis with Epinay-sur-Seine and Villetaneuse.

Alstom’s Pendolino fleet starts commercial service on the Polish network


Alstom’s Pendolino, the first high-speed train to operate in Poland, entered in service today. This inauguration opens a new era for railway travels in Poland, offering passengers enhanced comfort, safety, new standards and shorter travel time between the northern and the southern parts of the country.

Alstom and its subsidiary NTL open the T6 tram line in Ile-de-France


28 Translohr trams, running on tyres, will operate on the new line. RATP ordered them from NTL in December 2007.

Alstom increases its share in its Kazakh locomotive joint venture which is awarded a €1.3 billion maintenance contract


Alstom signed today an agreement with the Kazakh national railway company (KTZ) to acquire an additional 25% of KTZ’s stake, thereby bringing its total share to 50%, in the EKZ joint venture (JV). This JV has been awarded a €1.3 billion contract for the maintenance of freight (KZ8A) and passenger (KZ4AT) electric locomotives during 25 years.

Alstom delivers the first Régiolis train to the Poitou-Charentes region of France


Alstom presented the first Régiolis train for the Poitou-Charentes region to elected representatives of the Technicentre in Saintes on 4 December.

Alstom and OHL to supply a metro system to Guadalajara


Alstom, in association with CPVM, a company from OHL group, has been awarded a contract by the Secretariat of Communications and Transport of Mexico to supply a full system for Line 3 of Guadalajara metro. Alstom’s share in the contract is worth around €240 million. The line is 20 km long and will run through Zapopan, Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque municipalities in the State of Jalisco. It will provide fast, comfortable and safe transportation to 233,000 passengers daily. 

Alstom produces the first body-shell of PRASA commuter trains for South Africa


Alstom’s Lapa manufacturing plant in Brazil has timely manufactured the first complete body-shell of the twenty X’Trapolis Mega commuter trains currently under production in the site as part of its 600-trains contract with Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA).

Alstom to deliver new signalling system for Canada’s largest transportation hub


The scope of the project includes the planning, design, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a new and complete modernized signalling system. 

Alstom and Transmashholding to supply 3 additional low-floor trams to St. Petersburg


TramRus LLC, a joint venture of Alstom and its partner Transmashholding (TMH), signed a contract to supply St.Petersburg with 3 low-floor trams in addition to the one recently ordered by the city. The first one will be supplied by 1 December 2014 and the three others by 20 December. These 4 tramways have been specifically designed for Russia’s infrastructure and climate.
