  • Alstom to supply five more Regiolis regional trains to the Pays de la Loire region for €25 million

    The SNCF, on behalf of the Pays de la Loire Region, has just placed an order with Alstom to supply five regional trains from the Coradia Polyvalent range for some €25 million. The Pays de Loire Region now operates 54 Alstom regional trains and has already ordered 15 Coradia Polyvalent trains with an average seating capacity of 216 (in a length of 72 metres): 10 hybrid dual-voltage trainsets and 5 electric dual-voltage trainsets.

    Alstom and Cofely Besix FM to provide maintenance service for the Dubai tramway

    The Roads and Transport Authority of the Government of Dubai (RTA) has awarded a 13-year maintenance contract for the Al Sufouh tramway in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to a consortium comprised of Alstom and Cofely Besix Facility Management (FM). The total value of the contract amounts to €120 million, including €68 million for Alstom, the consortium’s leader, and €52 million for Cofely Besix FM. It includes an option for a five-year extension in the amount of €50 million.

    The Land Transport Authority of Singapore has awarded Alstom a contract worth around €240 million to provide new trains for two metro lines, the Circle Line (CCL) and North East Line (NEL), along with signaling upgrade for both lines.

    Banedanmark, the Danish railway infrastructure owner, has awarded Alstom a contract worth around €300 million to replace the existing signaling system in the East region of Denmark with Atlas, Alstom’s ERTMS based signalling solution. It will be implemented on 12 intercity and regional lines in Sealand and Fyn regions which cover half the country.

  • Alstom to provide signalling for Phase 2 of the East European LGV

    Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) awarded the signalling work for phase 2 of the East European LGV (high-speed rail line) to a consortium comprised of Alstom Transport, the lead partner, and Legrand SA. The total contract is valued at nearly €40 million and Alstom Transport’s share amounts to €30 million.

    Alstom delivers the first Citadis tramset to the Greater Dijon urban area

    The first Citadis tramset for the Dijon urban area arrived in the new operating and maintenance centre in Dijon on 26 January. The tramset had left the Alstom site in La Rochelle for the Dijon region six days earlier. François Rebsamen, Mayor of Dijon and President of the Greater Dijon urban area, will present the tramset to all elected representatives from Dijon communities on 27 January.

  • Infrabel awards Alstom a framework contract aimed at improving safety on the Belgian rail network

    Belgian rail operator, Infrabel, and Alstom have just signed a framework contract aimed at continuing the deployment of the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) in Belgium. The framework contract covers provisions for equipping and configuring 4,000 signals with beacons, together with a 15-year maintenance agreement.

  • Alstom wins track installation contract for Toulouse tram system’s Garonne line

    The Greater Toulouse Public Transport Authority has selected the consortium composed of Alstom Transport, Egenie and Guintoli to construct sectors 1 and 2 of the Toulouse tram system’s Garonne line. Guintoli is responsible for the civil engineering, while Alstom and Egenie, a local company, will handle track installation. Alstom’s share of the €16 million contract is nearly €5 million. The 2.5-km track section will link the Arènes and Fer à Cheval stations.
