Regarding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for "articles" that we supply may be subject to Title 29 of the US Code of federal Regulations Part 1910:1200.
These "articles," as supplied by Alstom in their normal physical state, do not present an inhalation, ingestion, or contact hazard.
However, when subject to welding, grinding, machining, flame cutting or similar processing potentially hazardous fumes or dusts may be released. Fume and dust exposure levels are regulated by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and must be controlled below OSHA established limits.
