Between November 6 and 8, Alstom will participate in the 15th edition of the Negócios nos Trilhos fair, which gathers professionals of all levels from operator companies from Brazil and Latin America, rolling stock manufacturers, logistic companies and the government, in addition to apprentices from technical schools, engineers and universities. Alstom will bring to the fair its expertise and examples of projects for regional trains, high speed and the tramways, among other solutions.

The companys focus during the event is to promote solutions for the Brazilian rail transport, the differentials of its equipment and the best alternatives for the cities that will make changes to their modals aiming at the projects to receive the big sports events, such as the World Cup and the Olympic Games, and the growth of the population. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the application of each one of these solutions and which model brings the best return for each need.

Alstom believes that one key solution for Brazil is the regional train. With the growth of the cities that are out of the large urban centers, it is essential that the country develops a transport solution that does not depend only in airports, but which is fast and safe. With this in mind, the company stimulates the use of regional trains which, in addition to being an effective solution for the transport of passengers between cities, are also an opportunity to boost the national economy and increase the generation of jobs.

Inside the cities, the solution will also be brought by the tramways. The Citadis model is a modern and sustainable solution, as it has the capacity to transport a volume of passengers equivalent to 50 cars or three buses. Alstoms model has power consumption, per passenger, 75% lower than an electric bus and emits four times less noise than the traffic of vehicles.

Moreover, Alstom, as the manufacturer of the fastest train in the world, also reinforces its interest in the project of the high speed train between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, which represents a big opportunity for business and growth. The project will bring an important answer to an existing demand. Alstom follows up the progress of these discussions as a supplier of complete solutions (rolling stock and systems). An important point for discussion at the moment is that these solutions come with an incentive to the national industry, says Marco Contin, head of Transport for Alstom Brazil.
