PVO-Lämpövoima Oy and
Alstom Finland Oy have signed a contract for the delivery of high-pressure and
medium-pressure turbines to Tahkoluoto coal-fired power plant.

PVO-Lämpövoima Oy, the daughter company of Pohjolan Voima, and Alstom
Finland Oy have signed a contract for the delivery of high-pressure and
medium-pressure turbines to PVO-Lämpövoimas Tahkoluoto coal-fired power plant
in Pori in Western Finland.
The new turbines will replace the existing turbines of Russian manufacture.
With the new equipment, the capacity of the power plant is increased by approx.
10 MW and the availability of the plant is improved. Alstoms work at
Tahkoluoto will begin in September 2005, and the erection time as provided in
the contract is two months.

'On selecting the turbine supplier, an essential thing was that Alstom
has good references from equivalent power plant deliveries in Central Europe
and especially in Seinäjoki, Finland', says Martti Talsio, Managing Director of
PVO-Lämpövoima Oy. The contract now signed is a sequel to the cooperation
between Pohjolan Voimas accociated company Vaskiluodon Voima and Alstom in the
steam turbine rebuild project at the Seinäjoki power plant.

Pohjolan Voima is a privately owned group of companies in the energy
sector, which produces and purchases electricity and heat for its shareholders.
Pohjolan Voimas production companies process energy from water, uranium, wood,
peat, coal and gas.
