ALSTOM signs an S-213 enlargement contract with FGC

Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has signed
an enlargement contract for the supply of 9 trains of the model
S-213 and spare parts with the consortium made up by ALSTOM,
Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) and
Bombardier. The total value of order amounts to 53,5 million
euros.

ALSTOM will carry out the project in its Industrial Site of
Santa Perpetua de Mogoda in Barcelona, and its participation in
the contract amounts to approximately 20 million euros.

CAF will supply the bodyshells, the bogies, 3 unit fittings and
spare parts, and Bombardier will supply all electrical
equipment and spare parts.

The 9 S-213 units are assigned to cover the service of the line
of Llobregat-Anoia in the Catalonian region. With this order,
FGC will obtain a homogeneous fleet on this line.

This is the third order of units of the same type which has
been awarded by FGC to this same consortium.
