A ceremony took place on 10th of September, 2014 in Wicko (Poland) for the start of the construction of the 90 MW Lotnisko wind farm, which will be based in Kopaniewo, and which is one of the largest project in the Polish wind power industry.
Alstom Grid has won three major High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) contracts with a total value of €800 million (approximately half of this amount was booked in Q1 of the current fiscal year, the other half will be booked in Q2).

Alstom signed a contract with PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A., worth approximately €80 million , for the supply of 30 ECO110 wind turbines for the “Lotnisko 90MW” wind farm, which will be based in Kopaniewo.
Today Alstom introduced the Coradia Liner V200, its latest, innovative main-line train, at the European Mobility Exhibition for Public Transport at the Parc des Expositions in Paris.
Alstom, alongside about thirty other European companies, has been taking part in the PROTECTRAIL programme which has just come to an end after four years of product development. The company has successfully demonstrated the performance of the ISM module for its Iconis Integrated Control Centre.
Alstom and Dalkia Poznań ZEC have signed two contracts for the construction of new Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) units for two steam boilers and for the modernisation of an existing boiler unit. All three boilers are operated by Dalkia at EC Karolin, which is the biggest combined heat and power plant in Poznań, western Poland. The total value of the two contracts is approximately €27.5M (115 MPLN). Construction and modernisation of the FGD units for all three boilers are due in 2015.
Alstom’s metro trainsets have begun commercial service on 28 March in Hungary on Budapest’s new underground line 4, the first automated metro line in Central-Eastern Europe. As part of the line’s official inauguration, 15 new Metropolis trainsets were put into operation.
EDF and Alstom have signed a contract for the turnkey construction of a complete Wet Flue Gas Desulphurisation (WFGD) plant at Rybnik Power Plant, southern Poland.
Alstom has signed contracts worth approximately €1.25 billion with Polimex, Rafako and Mostostal Warsawa, members of the consortium in charge of the supply of two 900 MW units to major Polish utility PGE (Polska Grupa Energetyczna).
