Alstom Power in Poland awarded the "Golden Laurel" in the filed of Innovativeness 2012
Alstom sets a high-speed record in Poland reaching 293 km/h while conducting tests on its Pendolino train on the Gora Wlodowska - Psary line north-west of Krakow. The record was reached as Alstom was conducting tests in the presence and in partnership with its customer, Polish operator PKP Intercity.
Alstom is participating in this year's UN climate change negotiations (‘COP19’) in Warsaw, Poland, from 11-22 November 2013.
EDF Polska S.A. and ALSTOM Power Sp. z o.o. have signed a contract to reduce the NOx emissions of EDF Wybrzeże power plant based in Gdańsk. The scope of the contract includes engineering, procurement, delivery, erection and commissioning of the Low NOx solution.
Alstom Grid Poland and Elektrobudowa S.A. have signed two contracts for the delivery of a 400 kV gas-insulated substation at Skawina and a 220 kV substation at Byczyna, both located in southern Poland. The contracts are worth approximately €20 million. The equipment will be installed in the substations owned by PSE S.A. – Polish grid operator.
Alstom has signed approx. 16 mln Euro contract with TTP Kostolac Power Plant in Serbia for performance of a major overhaul concerning a turbine and generator at 348 MW Unit B1.
The first of 20 new-generation multiple units owned by PKP Intercity is already in Poland. On 12 August, at noon sharp, the light blue and silver multiple unit arrived in Wrocław Main Railway Station. On Friday, the train set off from Alstom’s plant in Italy. Today, on 21 June 2013, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk visited Alstom factory in Elbląg, Poland. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Regional Development, Ms Elżbieta Bieńkowska.
On 13 June 2013, Elbląg saw the celebration of presenting awards to Elbląg-based Alstom Turbine Factory and Alstom Foundry.
The first of 20 multiple train units manufactured for PKP Intercity by Alstom will arrive for tests in Poland this year. Comfortable and safe trains will be operated starting from 2014. The trains will bring new quality on tracks and respond to the needs of various passenger groups – emphasised Janusz Malinowski, PKP Intercity President. On 28 May 2013, both companies presented the train appearance and facilities for passengers offered by the new Express InterCity Premium.
Alstom Grid has signed two contracts, each worth approximately €5 million, with Eltel Networks Rzeszów S.A. for the delivery of 110 kV and 220 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) in Poland. The equipment is destined for the Kopanina project, owned by PSE S.A. - the main provider of electricity transmission services for the Polish power system. Commissioning of the 220 kV gas-insulated switchgear is planned for summer 2014 and the 110 kV substation, for spring 2015.
