Next Stop Future of Mobility – World premiere of Automatic Train Operation for regional passenger trains
Within the framework of a research project Alstom will test Automatic Train Operation for regional passenger trains in Germany, starting in 2021. Alstom has long been a world-leader in ATO for metro systems, but these tests will be a world-first for regional passenger trains.
The findings from this important project lauded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics will contribute decisively to the further development of the legal and regulatory framework that will oversee Automatic Train Operation in Germany.
